Version 2.0 · Last updated 24 August 2026. Plain English: what personal data ClipNova collects, why, the legal basis for it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data ClipNova collects when you visit clipnova.io or use the ClipNova application at app.clipnova.io, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
The data controller is intellova, LLC, 3723 Greenville Ave STE 44103, Dallas, TX 75206, USA. For any privacy question, email privacy@clipnova.io. Because we offer the Service to users in the EU/EEA and the UK, we are subject to the GDPR/UK GDPR; our representative under Article 27 GDPR is [EU/UK REPRESENTATIVE — name and address in the EU/UK, to be appointed].
Short version: we collect the minimum we need to run the product, we don't sell your data, and you can email us to access, export or delete anything we hold about you.
Account & billing data: when you create an account and subscribe, we collect your name, email address, optional company name, language, and the subscription and payment records needed to run your plan. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we receive billing metadata (e.g. last four digits, country, status) but not your full card number.
Your Input: the prompts, scripts, reference images, photos, audio and other media you upload or type to generate content. Uploaded images and audio can contain personal data, including images or voices of identifiable people. If you upload media depicting other people, you confirm you have the legal right and any consent needed to do so.
Your Output: the videos, images and audio the Service generates from your Input, which we store so you can access them in your account.
Contact form: when you send a message through /contact, we receive the name, email, optional company and message you submitted, delivered to our team inbox via Resend.
Usage data: basic, non-identifying analytics (page views, referrers, anonymised device type) help us improve the product. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
To provide the Service, generate the content you request, and store your Input and Output in your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To take payment, manage your subscription and prevent fraud. Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legitimate interests in securing payments (Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
To respond to your messages and provide support. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in helping users, or steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(f)/(b)).
To improve ClipNova using aggregated, non-identifying usage data. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in improving the product (Article 6(1)(f)).
To send product or marketing emails where you have opted in, which you can withdraw at any time. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
To meet legal obligations, such as tax records and responding to valid requests from authorities. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
We do not use your Input or Output to train shared AI models, and we will never sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties.
Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Your Input and Output are kept in your account until you delete them or close your account. After you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we must keep certain records longer to meet legal obligations (for example, invoices and tax records, typically retained for up to 7 years to meet U.S. tax and accounting requirements). Contact-form messages are kept for up to 12 months for support history.
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can ask us to access, correct, export (data portability), or delete your personal data, and to restrict or object to certain processing, including a right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@clipnova.io from the address on your account. We respond within one month.
If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the EU/EEA that is the supervisory authority in your country of residence; in the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We'd appreciate the chance to resolve it first, so please contact us too.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll raise the version number and "last updated" date at the top and, when meaningful, notify account holders by email.
